What Are Some Basic Definitions And Terms Used By Shelly In BioEnergetic Kinesiology Therapy?
TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE
AN ANCIENT SCIENCE
Traditional Chinese Medicine, which encompasses various forms of herbal medicine, acupuncture, massage (tui na), exercise (qigong), and dietary therapy. The concepts of TCM also are fundamental to BioEnergetic Kinesiology Therapy.
Chi or qi
The body’s vital energy as a basic tenet of TCM. Also, qi can be referred to as the body’s subtle energy.
The channels or vessels that circulate the body’s vital energy (chi or qi) as understood in TCM, these have branches connected to bodily organs and functions.
Also known as acupuncture points. These are energetic gateways on the meridians that allow for exchange of energy (subtle and physical) and information.
These are the sites where an acupuncturist typically inserts needles. There is a standardized nomenclature for 361 classical acupuncture points organized according to the fourteen meridians, eight extra meridians, 48 extra points, and scalp acupuncture points.
Yin and Yang
Three-part view describing the complementary nature and activity of energy. In TCM, all of life is a cycling of yin and yang states and function. One flows into the other -- and then returns. The yinyang symbol is a simple and profound picture of the dynamic, constant movement, adjustment and change inherent in life and energy. It represents unity and balance.
The dark, outer circle of the symbol depicts the qi as an undifferentiated whole of energy (universal). Energy is universal until it is given a purpose or function. The functions and purpose are described as female (yin) or male (yang).
The white yang energy and black yin energy of the symbol represent the duality of the manifest universe, which is dynamic and moves cyclically.
The black dot within the yang symbolizes that there is a seed of yin energy within the yang.
The white dot within the black yin form symbolizes the seed of yang energy within the yin.
BALANCING CHI BY PINPOINTING NEUROMUSCULAR RESPONSES TO STRESS
The practice of kinesiology in BioEnergetic Therapy is an evaluation of the body’s neuromuscular response to stress.
An approach of biofeedback that detects momentary stress in the muscles when an indicator muscle is pressed. Also known as, manual muscle-testing.
This is a balance that affects the entire structure of your underlying energy system (more than just your meridians as mentioned in MEB) as core blockages are relieved and energy is redirected to circulate where the body most needs healing.
A higher degree of BioEnergetic Balance is achieved after the completion of each session.
BioEnergetic Balance refers to a state of resiliency. A healthy body maintains a balanced state despite the presence of stress. The underlying energy system adjusts to keep one centered, flowing, grounded and functioning without uncomfortable symptoms.
Meridian Energy Balance is a technique taught in ‘Health Kinesiology’ and practiced by Shelly. The goal is to get all 14 Main Meridians to vibrate at an equal rate producing a minimal amount of energy balance.
MEB is physically validated by using a North/South Pole magnet.
Meridian balance is vital so that when muscle-testing the body, all the information that each meridian carries about your body, stress, symptoms, issues and well-being can be accessed equally. The goal is 100% accuracy when muscle-testing!
Vibrational tools and techniques introduce new energetic patterns that work as templates to reprogram your own energetic system and start the natural ability to heal and feel better. It is as if these tools are helping the brain learn new ways of using what you already have at your disposal, imprinting new patterns to reorganize information.
As the stamp of these newly learned patterns circulate throughout the BioEnergetic System, your body connects the dots on how to function better, which increases energy proficiency.
A variety of vibrational (energy) tools that could be used as an option to present healthy patterns for balancing your body are magnets, homeopathic remedies, flower and gemstone essences, essential oils, colors, tuning forks, music and sound, minerals/crystalline patterns, Bio-Electro-MagnetIc-Resonator (BEMER), and light touch on the meridian acupoints or even focusing on particular thoughts.
Core BioEnergetic functioning can be referred to as one’s constitution. Constitutional health reflects one’s genetic makeup regarding vitality, health and strength. Also, within the constitutional health is one’s potential.
Constitutional/core BioEnergy work, as designed by Shelly, addresses the totality of the person’s energy, incorporating physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects, while also encompassing symptoms (areas of poor functioning), habits, environment and potential while honoring one’s inherited traits and capacity.
SCIENCE, WELLNESS AND COMPLEMENTARY THERAPY
Holistic by definition is characterized by comprehension of the parts of something as intimately interconnected and explicable only by reference to the whole.
Holistic healthcare is a consideration of how symptoms relate to the whole body function, circumstances and stress.
Classical vs. Quantum Physics
Initiated in the 15th century, Classical Physics generally examines and describes systems larger than atoms and molecules. It consists of hundreds of years’ worth of study including Newton’s laws of motion, electrodynamics, relativity, thermodynamics as well as chaos theory. At smaller size and length scales in nature, however, such as those involving atoms and photons and their behaviors, Classical Physics falls short.
In the early 20th century, Quantum Physics emerged, with its seemingly counterintuitive and sometimes controversial science, including the notions of superposition (the theory that a particle can be located in several places at once) and entanglement (particles that are deeply linked behave as such despite physical distance from one another).
Quantum Physics examines the nature and behavior of atomic and subatomic particles and photons.
Exciting new research shows that there is a very clear connection between the two sciences as studies reveal that laws of Classical Physics regarding chaos are linked to Quantum entanglement through thermalization.
A proficient system is one that organizes information intelligently or wisely so that it uses less energy to get more done and doing it way better and lasting longer.
